Obligations of political parties
All political parties successfully registered at the CEC must abide by legal obligations within the defined deadlines. Legal obligations include:
1. The form of annual updates of political parties
This form includes data for the highest executive body of the political party. Registered party continuously completes and submitts to the Office, the annual information, in electronic platform or in signed physical form, by identifying all the annual information that have been changed, within five (5) days from the moment the change has occured: Annex – V

2. Annual financial report of political entity
This report should contain the balance sheet showing the assets, liabilities and capital of the party, including all of its branches in the period included in the report. This report should include details of all transactions within the reported period. For more information, see Laws on Financing Political Entities No. 03/L-174, No. 04/L-058, and No. 04/L-212.

Remark: Political parties must make and keep a copy of the report submitted to the CEC.
3. Annual financial report of political entity (abbreviated form)
The abbreviated form of the report includes generalized transaction data of the political entity within the reported period. Upon submission to the CEC, this report must also be published on the websites of political entities.

Remark: Political parties must make and keep a copy of the report submitted to the CEC.
4. Form for continuation of registration of political party
This form shows that the political party is interested to continue its registration in the following year.

5. The form for notification of changes in political party
This form includes any change within the political party, such as a contact person or a financial person or changes in the management. Registered political party informs the Office within five (5) working days from the day the assembly/convention took place: Annex VI

6. Financial report of electoral campaign of the political entity (summarized form)
The summarized form of the report includes generalized data of transactions of the political entity within the reporting period. After the submission to CEC, this report must be published in the web page of the political entity.

Every Political Entity certified to participate in elections, submits a Report of Financial Statement of the Campaign of the Entity, including all expenditures and its integral parts. This report must include all income of the political entity during the reporting period, including the date of all contributions, all expenses including the ones of the campaign, balance sheet that presents the assets, liabilities and reconciliation of the entity from the first day until the last day of reporting period. For more information please consult the Law on General Elections No. 03/L-073, Election Regulation 12/2013 on Limitation of Campaign Expenses and Financial Statements as well the Laws on Financing of Political Entities No. 03/L-174 No. 04/L-058, and No. 04/L-212.
The date of reporting must be the period for which the entity is reporting for respective elections.
The deadline for submission: Forty five (45) calendar days after Election Day.
Remark: Certified political entities must make and keep a copy of the report submitted to CEC.
All these documents must be submitted in the Office for registration, certification and financial control of political entities in CEC.
