These are the deadlines for the election activities of the second round of Mayoral Elections
Pristina, October 21, 2021 – The Central Election Commission has decided to approve the operational plan for organizing the second round of Mayoral Elections.
This plan includes all activities that will be carried out by the CEC for the preparation of these elections.
The deadlines for the main election activities are as follows:
The election campaign for political entities and candidates who will participate in the second round will be 5 days long, starting on November 8th and ending on November 12th;
– For successfully registered voters from abroad Kosovo, during the period July 10 – August 18, the CEC has set 15 days at their disposal to vote by mail. This voting starts on October 29th. Prior to this date, the CEC plans to approve the design and content of the ballots paper, to enable the start of voting abroad. Ballots paper must be received by the CEC no later than November 12.
– The Central Election Commission, through mobile teams, will enable the Voting of People with Special Needs in the municipalities where the second round will be held. By November 11, the CEC will identify voters infected with COVID-19, while for voters with special needs (VPSN) in institutions, the CEC will send a request to the Ministry of Justice from November 2 to 5, while the request will be sent to the Ministry of Health by November 10.
– Regarding the observation of this round of elections, the CEC has decided that the competing political entities, NGOs, international organizations, diplomatic missions and the media should confirm the lists of observers who want to engage again. as well as to apply for additional observers. The application for accreditation of additional observers of political entities, NGOs, international observers and the media, starts on October 28 and ends on November 8.
