Fourth Conference – CEC: Polling stations are closed, about 43% of voters voted
Pristina, 17 October 2021, 19:30 – The Central Election Commission held the third conference on the day of the Local Elections.
In this conference, the chairman of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi announced that the voting process in the Republic of Kosovo. “Now all polling stations are closed. According to preliminary data we have received from more than 95% of polling stations, the number of eligible voters who have voted today is about 43% or 770,171 voters. In the Local Elections of 2017, 822,484 voters or 43.50% of the voters had voted “, announced Radoniqi.
The Chairman of the CEC, indicated that after the closing of the polling stations, the process of counting the ballots paper has started and called on the members of the Polling Stations to follow all the counting procedures in order to respect the will of the citizens.
He thanked the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo who participated in the voting; The Police and the State Prosecutor’s Office for their commitment to the smooth running of the election process; and the media that presented the election process and the work of the CEC.
