All polling stations have been closed on time – In these elections 24 thousand and 595 voters or 42.42% have voted

Central Election Commission held its fourth press conference related to extraordinary municipal mayor elections in four municipalities: Leposaviq, Zubin Potok, Zveçan and North Mitrovica

President of CEC, Valdete Daka informed that all polling stations (87) have been closed on time and that voting process has developed without any problem. 

CEC informs that in these elections, 24 thousand and 595 (42.42%) of eligible citizens exercised their right to vote from 57 thousand and 983 of the total number. In local elections of 22 October 2017, until the same time, 23 thousand and 891 voters or 41.90% had voted.

CEC president thanked commissioners or Polling Station Committee members for the job well done during today, and encouraged that during the process of ballot counting to implement all counting procedures with the purpose of respecting the will of citizens accordingly.

Also, in behalf of CEC, Daka thanked other institutions, Kosovo Police, State Prosecutor for their commitment for the progress of electoral process, as well OSCE mission in Kosovo for the assistance.

In the end, Central Election Commission informs that starting from 19:00 the 24-hour deadline has begun for the submission of complaints to Election Panel on Appeals and Complaints, related to today’s electoral process.
